KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 Provide support to participants with high Physical and Challenging Behaviours

 Provide personal care to persons with disability

 Maintain all written correspondence and reports up to date within required standards

 Execute as instructed designated tasks and activities aimed at meeting the clients’ personal needs/community support/empowerment, team objectives and/or program goals.

 Fulfil designated duties/tasks as instructed by the employer when requested/required. This includes working across all client groups when and if required.

 Participate in regular team meetings.

 Carry out duties/activities in a cooperative, respectful, and flexible manner.

 Adhere to the service/facility communication, reporting and participant/program progress practices and procedures.

 Respond to crisis in accordance with specified guidelines (Policies and Procedures, Code of Conduct, Incident Reporting) and seek assistance to situations outside of specified guidelines.

 Participate in developing and monitoring individual program plans and be accountable for their outcomes.

 Establish good working relationships and work closely and collaboratively with team members to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the role. Providing support to colleagues when required.

 Participate in on-the-job training/site induction when required and/or requested by your manager.

 Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and

performance.

 Establish good working relationships and networks with other community organisations to keep abreast of community activities and initiatives.

 Work under general guidance from the participant and their family seeking support, within clearly defined guidelines.

QUALIFICATION:

 Relevant Diploma or higher qualification in health and wellbeing; and

 At least two (2) years’ experience.

SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

 Proactive and passionate about supporting people with disability.

 Flexible

 Team player

 Effective communicator

 Ability to work with minimal supervision.

 HIGH CHALLENGING BEHAVIOURS & HIGH PHYSICAL SUPPORT REQUIRED!

You must have the NDIS Worker Orientation certificate completed and please log in

to https://training.ndiscommission.gov.au/ if you haven't obtained the certificate

already.
