The Role:

• Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
• Attractive casual hourly rate of $49.57
• Fulltime hours, 0700am - 1600pm, 9-day fortnight
• Initial contract length 14th July 2025 - 12th October 2025 (with potential for accommodating notice period, and potential future extensions, based on our clients requirements).
• Travel outside of the area will be irregular and as needed only

Mandatory Requirements:

• Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Trade Qualification
• Heavy Vehicle Drivers Licence
• Ability to work Monday - Friday
• Willing and able to pass a drug and alcohol test
• Available for work out of South Grafton, NSW
• Ready and available for immediate commencement (some notice period may be accommodated)
• Available for a minimum of 3 months, with the initial contract end date of 12th October (Note, extensions may be offered)

Duties of the Role:

• Safely undertake a range of duties to maintain and repair plant items, heavy vehicles and mechanical equipment
• Perform a wide range of routine and complex labouring/ manual tasks, including the use of a variety of small and heavy plant and powered and non-powered hand tools, to assist with the completion of work activities.
• Work is completed under limited supervision and may be done in a team environment or independently
• Conduct safety checks on all plant used, complete basic maintenance such as refueling and checking fluid and maintain records and reports to ensure the safe use of plant items
• Solve routine problems that arise, referring to standard guidelines and manuals and collaborate with supervisors and managers to resolve complex problems to ensure risks are minimised and work goals are achieved
