Heavy Diesel Mechanics - Multiple Sydney Locations (Afternoon Shift)

Are you an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic looking for a stable role with excellent pay and a consistent schedule? We have multiple opportunities available across key Sydney locations, including Mascot, Eastern Creek and Greenacre.

As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, you'll be responsible for the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of a diverse fleet of heavy diesel vehicles. This could include a range of equipment used in waste management or similar heavy transport sectors. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring operational efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Performing routine maintenance and servicing on heavy diesel vehicles.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults.
• Carrying out repairs, including engine, transmission, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Attending breakdowns as required (with additional allowances).
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently, adhering to industry standards.
• Maintaining accurate service records and documentation.

Shift & Remuneration:

• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Shift Times: You'll work one of the following afternoon shifts:
• 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM
• 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• Pay Rate: $44.67 per hour base rate, which increases to $57.45 per hour including an afternoon shift loading!
• Allowances: Additional allowances apply for attending breakdowns and meal allowances after 1.5hrs OT

What We're Looking For:

• Essential: Australian Recognised Heavy Diesel Mechanic Trade Licence.
• Essential: Own basic tools.
• Desirable: MR (Medium Rigid) or HR (Heavy Rigid) driver's license.
• Experience with waste management vehicles is highly regarded, but not essential.
• Experience with light vehicles will be considered for motivated candidates looking to transition into heavy diesel.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Reliable and a strong team player.
