Our client is a State Government Department who is currently seeking a Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Tradesperson to join their team at Port Macquarie. With an ideal commencement date of late August, this role is being offered for an initial period of 4 months until Christmas, with the potential to extend.

The primary purpose of the role is to safely undertake a range of duties to maintain and repair various earthworks machines, light and heavy vehicles and mechanical equipment/tools/small engines.

Candidates MUST be a trade qualified HV mechanic holding at least a Cert 3 in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent, with heavy vehicle experience. You will need to hold a current unencumbered NSW driver licence - with MR or above preferred, plus a white card.

Some travel may be required with occasional overnight stays - accommodation provided and applicable allowances paid.

Hours of work:

6am to 3pm, 9 day fortnight

Requirements:

Must have a minimum of certificate 3 Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology

Must have a White Card

Current driver licence with MR Driver licence or above desirable

Physically fit

Must have 2 x contactable references
