A bit about the role
Help shape vibrant open spaces across the City of Casey by coordinating maintenance and enhancement works, managing contractors for safe and efficient service delivery, and using data insights to drive quality outcome, all while ensuring responsive customer service aligned with Council standards.
What you’ll deliver
- Provide supervision for infrastructure crew staff.
- Provide advice to the Open Space Coordinators and Team Leader Sportsgrounds and Open Space on issues relating to the work tasks.
- Supervise and monitor contractors’ compliance with specifications for contractual works.
- Assist the Open Space Coordinators in planning open space renewal across City of Casey.
- Investigate and advise on actions for community requests, responding to Open Space Coordinators and ratepayers and members of the public in an effective, efficient, and timely manner.
- Collect and input data into proactive asset renewal programs.
What you’ll bring
- Proven experience in supervision of parks and gardens staff and/or contractors.
- Proven experience in the maintenance of open space within Parks and Reserves.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and coordinate to meet deliverables in required timelines.
- Experience working collaboratively to achieve outcomes.
- Intermediate information technology skills to compose clear information into emails, data entry, Microsoft Office programs, GIS maps and ‘TechnologyONE’.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check and Functional Assessment (Medical/physio)
- A curious, collaborative, and inclusive community mindset.
