About the role

This is a full-time role located in Potts Point, NSW 2011. As the Assistant Restaurant Supervisor at Bistro Rex, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of this popular inner-city restaurant. This position offers the opportunity to develop your leadership and customer service skills in our very busy 130 seat restaurant. We are open 7 dinners and lunch Thursday - Sunday.

Great tips $550-$750 per normal week, more in busy season.

What you'll be doing

Assisting the Restaurant Manager in overseeing all front-of-house operations

Coordinating and supervising the service team, including hosting, serving, opening and closing.

Ensuring excellent customer service and a positive dining experience for all guests

Monitoring inventory levels and placing orders for supplies as needed

Assisting with the training and development of customer service staff

Handling customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner

Supporting the management team with administrative tasks and special projects as required

What we're looking for

At least 3 years of experience in a similar assistant restaurant supervisor or front-of-house leadership role

Self motivated and hyper organised, strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to motivate and lead a team

Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities

Working knowledge of point-of-sale systems and inventory management

Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering an exceptional dining experience
