WHO ARE WE?

Established in 1991, Danila Dilba Health Service (DDHS) is an Aboriginal community-controlled organisation committed to providing culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary health care services and community development within the Biluru (Aboriginal) community of the Yilli Rreung (Greater Darwin) Region in the Northern Territory.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Indigenous Outreach Worker provides extensive support to clients of Danila Dilba Health Service to address social and family needs and to ensure their access to health services in the region. This includes significant internal and external people liaison, negotiation and the resilience to persist in an often-challenging health care environment.

Our Indigenous Outreach Workers work autonomously with our clients and their families, so they need to exercise a mature and culturally appropriate manner to be able to suit the needs of our clients.

  • Assist with planning, delivery, and evaluation of specific health program and community activities.
