Trainee Relationship Manager – Recruitment
Location: Sydney (4 days in-office)
Salary: $65,000–$75,000 base + super + uncapped bonuses
OTE: $75k–$90k Year 1 | $120k+ Year 2 | $150k+ Year 3

About the Role
As a Trainee Relationship Manager, you’ll join a high-performing team with a clear plan for your progression into a full sales/recruitment role.
Your first 6–12 months will focus on supporting a Director by building candidate relationships, learning the recruitment process, and gradually developing lead generation skills. Expect a mix of candidate engagement, CRM activity, lead spotting, and process execution.
Key responsibilities:
- Speak with candidates weekly across digital, product, and financial services
- Qualify and present top candidates to each vacancy
- Feed new job leads into the system
- Identify and draft new outbound client approaches
- Coordinate candidate interviews and support placements
- Shadow the Director in client meetings and learn the ropes
By year two, you’ll be expected to manage your own sales pipeline, develop a territory, and progress toward a rainmaker-level
Who We’re Looking For
We’re not looking for traditional recruiters—we’re looking for natural sellers with ambition and resilience. You might come from:
- Outbound call centres in financial services, telco, real estate or fundraising
- Tech/SaaS sales, software, or digital agency environments
- Any role where you had to pick up the phone, influence outcomes, and own targets
You’ll thrive if you:

- Can take direction, apply feedback, and execute fast
- Have a strong sense of urgency and purpose
- Build trust quickly and communicate with polish
- Are hungry to grow, with a 2–3 year view toward a $150k+ OTE sales role
