About us:
Blind Sports Australia (BSA) is the national sporting organisation for blind and vision-impaired sport. Established in 1980, BSA is a founding member of Paralympics Australia, the Australian Sporting Alliance for People with a Disability and is Australia’s representative to the International Blind Sporting Federation (IBSA).
BSA helps create pathways and opportunities for people to participate in blind sport from grassroots community level, right up to elite competition at the national and international level.
With blind football and goalball striving to compete at the LA2028 Games Paralympics, BSA has established a High-Performance business unit to provide shared services, including administration and operations support to assist these paralympic sports to perform on the world stage and deliver a first-class high performance environment.
About the role:
We are offering an exceptional and rare opportunity for a suitably experienced Operations and Logistics Administrator to join our High Performance team and to coordinate the operations of our newly established High Performance unit within BSA. Reporting to the High Performance Director, the HP Operations and Logistics Administrator provides key operational and logistical support to help achieve our goals for goalball and blind football.
The HP Operations and Logistics Administrator role will be undertaken in an ethical, collaborative, transparent, respectful and responsive manner that always prioritises child safety, welfare and wellbeing.
The key responsibilities of the role are :
Logistical support: Provide logistical support for our High Performance program including 3 sports teams, including booking venues, ordering equipment, transportation, travel and flights for training camps and international competitions.
Systems: Ensure all athletes are registered and have up-to-date classification status and information uploaded into the athlete management portal.
Administration: Provide essential administration assistance for the High Performance unit including reporting, management correspondence and board reporting.
Stakeholder engagement: Engage with and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in maintaining an effective and integrated High Performance program.
The HP Operations and Logistics Administrator role may require some interstate travel and work outside of standard work hours (including weekends) at times.
Essential requirements:
Current Working with Children Clearance or willingness to obtain prior to appointment.
Experience in a similar role.
Computer literacy | Xero and MS Office suite.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to build rapport with team members and stakeholders.
Exceptional attention to detail, highly organised with time management skills, with the ability to multitask.
Self-motivated and capable of working effectively independently.
Experience in the sports industry and genuine interest in sport are desirable.

This role is ideally located in Melbourne and has hybrid working arrangements. The role is offered as a part-time role (3 days per week). There is on-site parking available, and the office is walking distance to public transport.
