Your Responsibilities
As the Cultural Lead, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our services are culturally respectful, inclusive, and community-informed.
You will:
Build trusted relationships with Elders, Aboriginal organisations, schools, and health services
Organise community events, info sessions, and support Aboriginal participants to understand the NDIS
Provide cultural mentoring to staff and management to support safe, inclusive service delivery
Represent 668 Care in stakeholder meetings with hospitals, PHNs, LACs, and service networks
Contribute to program design, communication materials, and continuous improvement initiatives
Deliver cultural safety training and support team learning
About You
Identified Role – Open only to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants under Section 50(d) of the Equal Opportunity Act.
You are a community leader with deep ties to your region and a strong sense of responsibility to help improve access, equity, and outcomes for Aboriginal people.
You bring:
Strong connections in Tamworth, Taree, Muswellbrook, Singleton, or surrounding towns
Community networks with local ACCHOs, schools, health services, councils, or youth organisations
Experience in community engagement, health, disability, or support services
The ability to speak confidently and work collaboratively across all sectors
A valid Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel across the region
Checks Required (or willingness to obtain):
National Police Check
NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC)
NDIS Worker Screening Check
