We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Head Chef to lead our dynamic kitchen team at Lenzerheide Restaurant. Located in the heart of Adelaide, Lenzerheide has been a beloved dining destination since its establishment in 1989, renowned for its elegant atmosphere, exceptional service, and refined European-inspired cuisine.
This is a unique opportunity to join a well-established yet evolving kitchen, working alongside a team of young, talented, and passionate chefs. As Head Chef, you will take the reins of kitchen operations, guiding and mentoring junior chefs while bringing creativity, leadership, and innovation to both our à la carte, high tea and degustation menus. We're looking for someone who is not only technically skilled but also has a deep love for food, a strong sense of teamwork, and a desire to uphold and elevate the standards that have defined Lenzerheide for decades.
Key responsibilities
o Create innovative menus featuring seasonal, local ingredients
o Uphold high standards in food preparation and presentation
o Manage inventory and ensure cost-effective purchasing
o Work with management to enhance kitchen operations
o Lead by example, providing guidance and support to junior chefs.
o Maintain a calm and focused demeanour, even under pressure.
o Uphold our high standards of cleanliness, safety, and operation.
Candidate:
o Extensive experience as a Head or Sous Chef in fast-paced kitchens
o A proven ability to lead and develop high-performing kitchen teams
o Exceptional culinary skills with a passion for innovative, flavourful dishes
o Strong expertise in food costs, inventory management, and budgeting
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective staff management
o A commitment to upholding the highest food safety and hygiene standards
o A passion for cooking and a love for our industry
