About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Excavator/Positrack Operator to join the team at Newcastle Earthworks Pty Ltd. This is a full-time role based in Newcastle, NSW. In this key position, you will operate heavy machinery to support various construction projects, playing a vital role in the successful delivery of our services.

What you'll be doing

Operate excavators, positracks and other heavy construction equipment as required

Carry out earthmoving tasks such as digging, grading, levelling and backfilling

Prepare sites for construction and infrastructure projects

Ensure all equipment is operated safely and maintained to a high standard

Collaborate with the wider construction team to meet project goals and deadlines

Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies

What we're looking for

Formal qualification in operating excavators, positracks and other construction equipment

Minimum 1 years' experience as an excavator/positrack operator in a construction environment

Minimum HR licence/ HC would be advantageous

Ability to read and interpret site plans and construction drawings

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong communication and problem-solving skills
