About the role

Join the dynamic team at R & J Plant Hire Pty Ltd as a full-time Excavator Operator, yard based in Richmond, NSW, servicing Greater Sydney area's, and Blue Mountains. In this pivotal role, you will operate heavy machinery to support construction projects, contributing to the company's continued success and growth.

What you'll be doing

Safely operate and maintain excavators on construction sites

Conduct pre-operational checks and carry out routine maintenance on assigned equipment

Interpret and follow project plans and specifications to complete tasks efficiently

Collaborate with the broader construction team to deliver projects on time and to the required standards

Observe all health, safety and environmental regulations on site

Maintain detailed records of work activities and equipment usage

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience as an Excavator Operator in the construction industry, including detail work

Formal qualification in plant operation or equivalent

Strong knowledge of excavator operations and maintenance

Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Commitment to safe work practices

Reliable, punctual and dedicated to delivering quality outcomes

Current drivers License/Company vehicle available after a 3 month probation time for the right applicant with an outstanding driving record

HR licence preferred but not a must
