Australian Professional Skills Institute (APSI) is a well-established Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and CRICOS provider located in the heart of Perth CBD. With a strong reputation for delivering quality vocational education to both domestic and international students, APSI fosters a supportive and professional learning environment. We are now seeking an experienced and passionate Student Services Manager to lead our Student Services Department and enhance the overall student experience from course enquiries through to graduation.
The Opportunity
This is a pivotal leadership role focused on delivering exceptional student support services while ensuring compliance with the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Framework and maintaining CRICOS registration standards. You will be the key liaison between students, the administration team, and the academic team, contributing to students' academic and personal success during their time at APSI.
Key Responsibilities
Student Support Services
Lead and manage all functions of the Student Services Department.
Provide responsive, high-quality support for student enquiries, concerns, and welfare needs.
Oversee orientation, engagement, retention, and transition strategies for both international and domestic students.
Ensure student compliance with course progress, attendance, and compliance with student visa conditions and support.
Maintain accurate student records in line with APSI policy, using the student management system and PRISMS.
Coordinate credit transfers, course variations, RPL, complaints, and appeals.
Respond to formal and informal complaints in a timely and professional manner.
Student Journey and Completion
Supervise course completion processes and issuance of AQF qualifications.
Conduct student satisfaction surveys and contribute to the continuous improvement of services.
Organise and manage student events, including graduation ceremonies.
Oversee the team members to process leave of absence, suspensions, and extensions, ensuring PRISMS records are current.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a student-centric approach.
Proficiency in administrative systems, student management systems, and computing applications.
Strong knowledge of the VET and international education sectors, including CRICOS and ESOS compliance.
Confident user and administrator of PRISMS and manage PRISMS data accuracy
Past experience in similar capacity with proven track record on compliance.
Ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Post-secondary qualifications required; a relevant degree in education, management, or student services is highly desirable.
Demonstrated experience in student support, education administration, or a similar role within the VET or higher education sector.
Previous supervisory or team leadership experience will be highly regarded.
