The City of Wanneroo is one of WA’s fastest-growing local governments, and we’re looking for a talented Data Analyst to help turn data into actionable insights that drive positive change across our organisation.
As part of our Business Improvement Team within the Corporate Strategy & Performance Directorate, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping shape how we deliver services to our community by harnessing data to inform decision-making and enable process improvements.
About the position
Reporting to the Business Improvement Program Manager, this role is all about transforming large and complex data sets into clear, actionable business intelligence. You’ll work closely with leaders across the City, supporting projects that improve service delivery, operational efficiency and customer outcomes.
In this role you will:
- Collate, analyse and interpret organisational data from multiple sources
- Develop dashboards, reports and visualisations using tools like Power BI
- Provide data-driven recommendations that help teams solve business challenges
- Clean, integrate and maintain data quality across systems
- Support business improvement projects by delivering meaningful insights
- Engage with a wide range of stakeholders to help embed a data-informed culture
About you
We are looking for someone who thrives on problem-solving, has a curious mindset and can communicate complex findings in a simple, engaging way.
You will ideally have:
- A qualification in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or similar
- Experience in data analytics, reporting and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI)
- Strong skills in data management, visualisation and statistical analysis
- Experience working with stakeholders across different business units
- Knowledge of business improvement methodologies will be highly regarded
