About the Role
Our industry leading client is currently on the look out for an experienced and motivated Customer Service Team Leader. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys leading a team, and is committed to delivering a high standard of customer service.
Based at the client’s office in Dandenong South, you will play a key role in overseeing day-to-day customer service operations, mentoring staff, coordinating jobs, and ensuring prompt and professional responses to all enquiries.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the Customer Service team based in Dandenong South.
- Provide guidance, support, and training to team members to ensure high performance.
- Monitor performance to ensure KPIs and service standards are consistently achieved.
- Manage and respond to customer enquiries across phone, email, and digital channels.
- Coordinate and schedule projects/jobs in line with customer specifications.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure job readiness and material availability.
- Support inbox and task management to ensure timely resolution.
- Create invoices, internal sales order and other accounts duties.
- Handle escalated customer complaints and support team members with issue resolution.
- Assist with stock management, stocktakes, and workflow improvements.
- Collaborate with the Customer Service Manager to allocate workloads and streamline processes.
- Maintain up-to-date product and service knowledge.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be a natural leader who enjoys problem-solving, team development, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
You will ideally have:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar customer service leadership role.
- Strong understanding of ERP systems (JDE experience will be highly regarded).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise and work under pressure.
- Basic knowledge of the building products or construction industry is desirable.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail.
