About this Role
Our IT Customer Solutions Representative provides first level IT support to Latrobe City Council employees and other stakeholders for all IT services.
Receiving and triaging all IT support requests, you will liaise with the broader Organisational Performance team to resolve customer issues and ensure a high level of customer service is provided consistently across the organisation and contribute to continuous improvement.
About You
For this position we are seeking an individual with a solid understanding of IT systems, software, and hardware commonly used in Council environments.
This includes proficiency in troubleshooting issues related to operating systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux), office productivity software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace), email clients, printers, and networking devices.
You'll also need:
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology and/or equivalent IT experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to converse with a wide range of customers with their IT issues.
- Foundation technical knowledge of IT Desktops, laptops, managed operating environments, mobile device management, servers, Email, mobile phones, desk phones, tablets, printers, applications and Active Directory.
- Foundation knowledge of Microsoft Windows /Server Operating Systems, MS Office, Office 365, System Centre Configuration Manager.
- Foundation knowledge of ITIL and service management tools and Asset Management practices and experience in using IT Service Management Tools.
- Problem-Solving skills to quickly diagnose IT problems and find solutions independently.
Also Desirable:
- Experience with ticketing systems and following predefined procedures for issue resolution.
- ITIL Certification or proven experience working with IT Service Management processes.
You should be resourceful, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
