About the role

Metaxas Architects Pty Ltd is seeking a talented Architect to join our dynamic team in our Carlton, VIC office.

Note this is a 7 month contract position due to maternity leave of one of our key staff members.

As an Architect, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality design solutions for a range of exciting commercial and residential projects. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work on diverse and innovative projects, contributing to the continued growth and success of our respected architecture firm.

What you'll be doing

Collaborating with clients, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to conceptualise and design architectural solutions that meet project requirements and exceed client expectations

Preparing detailed design drawings, specifications, and other technical documentation to support the construction process

Conducting site visits, coordinating with contractors, and providing on-site supervision to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards

Staying up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to inform your design approach

What we're looking for

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field

Minimum 1-3 years of experience as a practicing Architect, preferably in a commercial or residential design setting

Strong technical skills in Archicad

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking abilities

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders

Passion for design, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work

Proficiency in the latest architectural design methods, construction techniques, and industry regulations
