We are a Federally funded Industry Growth Centre. Our work spans clean-tech manufacturing including: batteries, solar, wind, carbon, industrial decarbonisation, First Nations, transport, transmission and distribution.
THE ROLE
Battery and critical minerals industries are experiencing unprecedented growth. Australia is at the centre of this change and is a world leading producer of critical minerals and hosts a number of leading battery technology companies, and global manufacturers.
To grow our industry and build strong supply relationships we want to deliver an industry showcase event that brings Australian and international industry together and puts us firmly on the global map.
The Conference Specialist will create, plan and execute a battery showcase event incorporating an industry trade show and conference speaking program. The event will be held annually over three years across multiple states with the intent of becoming the national platform for local battery manufacturers to promote their businesses.
We’re looking for someone who can build, market and deliver an exciting event from concept to completion and someone who is excited about the prospect of making a real difference to the businesses they work with. This is an amazing opportunity for the early-career event professional. Some experience is a must.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
End-to-end conference planning, marketing and delivery
Securing the venue and recommending key contractors.
Work with Lead Engineer and Technical Advisory Committee to identify speakers and build conference program
Managing communications with clients, venues, suppliers and delegates
Supporting speaker and abstract management
Collaborate with a Professional Conference Organiser on all aspects of event logistics including overseeing delegate registrations and onsite operations
Maintaining timelines, budgets, and conference documentation
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
Proven experience in conference or event coordination
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A client-focused approach with strong attention to detail
Confidence using event software and MS Office
Ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities
