The Opportunity
We’re seeking an Administrative Assistant – People & Culture to provide vital support to our People & Culture team. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Manager People & Culture to enhance the efficiency and impact of our HR and organisational development services.
You’ll support the Manager People & Culture with employee engagement, recruitment, onboarding, training, payroll, and general HR administration. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to build a strong foundation for a career in human resources.

Key Responsibilities
Provide timely and accurate assistance with payroll tasks, PLSL returns, and reimbursements.
Support WorkCover claims and return-to-work (RTW) plans.
Assist with recruitment and onboarding of new team members.
Help deliver employee engagement and training initiatives.
Maintain compliance with awards, contracts, legislation, health and safety regulations, and internal policies.
Prepare and distribute internal communications on policies, benefits, and new initiatives.
Ensure accurate documentation of HR activities (e.g., performance reviews, employee relations, disciplinary actions).
Respond to employee queries regarding benefits, policies, and general HR procedures.
Support HR reporting and metrics to inform decision-making and improve People & Culture strategies.
What You’ll Bring
Strong administrative, organisational, and time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital tools.
High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry.
Professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information.
Proactive and resourceful, able to work independently and collaboratively.
A positive, respectful attitude and commitment to continuous improvement.

Desirable
Understanding of HR functions and processes (recruitment, onboarding, training, record management).
Knowledge of privacy, confidentiality, and data protection principles.
Awareness of workplace health and safety practices and inclusive employment principles.
Additional Requirements
Willingness to travel between service locations as needed.
Current Victorian driver’s licence (essential due to limited public transport).
Successful completion of safety-screening checks, including reference checks, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and Working with Children Check (WWC), plus evidence of the right to work in Australia.
