About the Role

As a key member of our practice, you will:
• Be the first point of contact, welcoming patients with warmth and professionalism
• Coordinate consultations, diagnostic appointments, and surgical theatre bookings with precision
• Maintain accurate, confidential medical records and correspondence
• Prepare detailed clinical documents and reports for patients, GPs, and referrers
• Oversee billing processes and manage claims (Medicare, DVA, Eclipse) with meticulous attention to compliance
• Ensure each patient’s experience is seamless, dignified, and supported from start to finish

What We’re Looking For

• Extensive experience as a medical secretary, ideally in a private surgical or specialist environment
• A deep understanding of medical terminology and practice operations (Gentu software knowledge is highly regarded)
• Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with patients, clinicians, and allied health professionals
• Impeccable organisational abilities and a keen eye for detail
