Part time | 3 days per week (18 hours for teacher qualified or 22.8 hours for non-teacher qualified candidates)
0.6 FTE across Charleville, Cunnamulla and Quilpie
Hybrid working arrangements based at Toowoomba Catholic Schools Office will be considered including two weeks travel per term

The opportunity
This role will see you work collaboratively with the following three school communities to provide a counselling service that facilitates learning outcomes for students and enables quality teaching.
St Mary’s School | Charleville | P-6
Sacred Heart Primary School, Cunnamulla | P-6
St Finbarr’s School | Quilpie | P-6
During weekends and paid school vacation periods, you will not be required to attend work, however attendance may be required in the event of a critical incident.

About you
Relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology or Guidance Counselling coupled with a minimum of 2 years' experience relevant to a school setting.
Effective relationship building and influencing skills, advanced interpersonal and communication skills, proven and effective leadership skills.

As a Guidance Counsellor with Toowoomba Catholic Schools, you will be joining a network of 32 schools, who, with the Toowoomba Catholic Schools Office form Toowoomba Catholic school’s system. Through our shared purpose, enabling full and flourishing lives we support staff and students to reach their potential.
You will receive regular support from your principal and visiting Education Officers - experts who will help you advance your Guidance Counselling skills and support you in providing the best possible counselling services to three school communities. You will also be a part of a network of Guidance Counsellors and given the opportunity to attend targeted professional development hosted by the Toowoomba Catholic Schools Office.
