About the role

Comprehensive analysis and reporting of the Corporation’s credit management of Major Consumer Framework customers and doubtful and bad debts process and coordinate the recovery of unsecured debt.

Provide Commercial expertise and Analytical support to the Corporate Business Development team as well as the broader Commercial Development.

What you can expect with this role

  • Undertakes financial modelling and pricing proposals for special agreement customers and new business land development contributions for new and existing business opportunities.
  • Undertake research, financial and economic analysis on matters related to special agreements and other strategic projects.
  • Lead contract negotiations and the preparation of contracts for minor special agreements.
  • Coordinate the Corporation’s Doubtful and Bad Debt process for Key Customers and Major Customers and provide advice and education across the Corporation to ensure proper credit management principles are adhered to.
  • Coordinate the Corporation’s credit management of special agreement customers (i.e. agreements with major water customers, recycled water consumers and other non-regulated service customers), providing an account management role with major debtors to achieve a commercial outcome.
  • Drive insightful analysis to achieve better business decisions and actions for Executive and Board.

Your skills and experience

For this role, we are looking for great talent with:

  • Degree level qualification in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Business, or a relevant discipline.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to exercise judgement and discretion in dealing with sensitive issues and senior management.
  • Experience in synthesising lots of data and information into salient points and outputs.
  • Good communication, negotiation and influencing skills in a range of challenging business environments.
  • Good conceptual, analytical, problem solving and written communication skills.
