Your new role

As a Civil Supervisor, you'll play a key leadership role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of a dedicated crew of 4-6, ensuring the successful delivery of local government infrastructure projects. Reporting directly to project management, you will be responsible for coordinating on-site activities, maintaining safety and quality standards, and driving team performance to meet strict project timelines. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who leads by example and takes pride in delivering high-quality civil works, particularly in stormwater, roadworks, and public infrastructure. Your ability to proactively problem-solve, manage subcontractors, and liaise with council representatives will directly contribute to the company's reputation for reliability and excellence. The ideal candidate will have previous experience supervising civil crews, a practical understanding of local council requirements, and a strong commitment to fostering a collaborative, productive work environment aligned with the company's values of professionalism and innovation.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Proven experience supervising civil construction crews, ideally within local government projects
• Strong understanding of stormwater, roadworks, and general civil infrastructure
• Ability to lead by example with a hands-on approach to daily site operations
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams of 4-6 workers effectively
• Skilled in coordinating subcontractors, plant, and materials on active job sites
• Sound knowledge of WHS standards and commitment to maintaining safe work environments
• Competence in interpreting plans and setting out works to specification
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to dynamic site conditions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with stakeholders and council reps
• High attention to detail with a focus on delivering quality outcomes
• Current driver's licence and white card essential
• Relevant tickets for machinery operation or traffic management
• Strong work ethic and alignment with a team-oriented, professional culture
