An excellent opportunity has opened for an experienced administration professional to join a well-established Chartered Accounting firm on the Sunshine Coast. This position requires previous experience in a public practice accounting environment.

About the Role

This is a key support role within a busy public practice accounting team. You’ll act as the first point of contact for clients while providing essential administration and client services support to accountants and leadership. Prior experience working in a professional accounting or financial services firm is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcoming clients, managing incoming calls, and handling reception duties
  • Collating and electronically distributing client documents, including tax returns, BAS, and financial reports
  • Processing lodgments with the ATO and assisting with ASIC compliance tasks
  • Managing internal workflow tasks, client files, and confidential records
  • Supporting client communications and managing digital correspondence
  • Assisting with digital marketing and monthly client newsletters
  • Debtor management and payment follow-up communications
  • Providing diary and lodgment program support to the Principal
  • Helping clients with bookkeeping and payroll queries where required (training provided)

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a public practice accounting firm in an administration or client services role
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A client-focused attitude and polished, professional manner
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience with Xero Practice Manager and FYI Docs highly regarded
  • Strong organisational skills and an ability to work both independently and as part of a team
