Our client already has an established finance arm that has historically serviced a smaller volume of loans. Now, with demand for their services at an all-time high, they’re scaling and optimising this division to deliver end-to-end financial solutions and support more clients on their property journeys.
They’re on the lookout for an experienced, solutions-focused Finance Operations Manager to spearhead this exciting new chapter. About the Role

As the Finance Operations Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in elevating the finance division into the mortgage partner of choice for our client's customers and referral network. You’ll bring the vision, expertise, and drive needed to optimise what’s already in place and scale sustainably.
This is a hands-on leadership role where no two days are the same. You’ll be responsible for designing and embedding operational processes, leading and developing your team, and ensuring clients receive outstanding support from initial enquiry through to settlement.
What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead and Inspire: Manage and mentor the support team, cultivating a culture of accountability, growth, and excellence.
• Build the Business: Establish processes, workflows, and service standards that position the finance division as a trusted mortgage partner.
• Drive Efficiency: Conduct systems analysis and implement best practices to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
• Oversee Settlements: Ensure all settlements are executed accurately, compliantly, and on time.
• Strengthen Relationships: Maintain and nurture key referral partnerships to drive collaboration and business growth.
• Champion Client Experience: Develop and execute client retention strategies that deliver a seamless and supportive experience.
• Be the Expert: Use your mortgage knowledge to support your team’s enquiries and serve as the go-to advisor for complex scenarios.

About You You’re a confident, self-motivated leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You know how to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, and you’re passionate about delivering operational excellence.
You’ll Bring:

• Proven experience growing and managing a mortgage business or finance operations team
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• 3+ years in a similar role within mortgage broking or lending operations
• A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a drive for continuous improvement
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills
• A focus on building strong client relationships and referral networks
• Certificate IV or Diploma in Finance and Mortgage Broking (highly regarded)
• An unwavering commitment to operational excellence and client success
