RWAV improves access to quality primary care health services and other health services for rural, regional and First Nations communities across Victoria. We improve health outcomes through effective and customised health workforce solutions that are informed through partnerships, workforce and population health data, and collaboration with communities.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Corporate Services Manager to join our senior leadership team. This pivotal role leads key corporate functions including finance, risk, business strategy, and project management. You will oversee operational efficiency, support long-term sustainability, and work across the organisation to enable delivery of finance, IT and data management initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, taxation laws, and statutory obligations.
- Lead the full cycle of statutory and internal audits and acquittals.
- Oversee procurement processes, supplier contracts, and budget alignment.
- Maintain robust internal controls and ensure payroll compliance with RWAV EBA and relevant legislation.
- Manage core systems (finance, payroll, CRM) and reporting frameworks.
- Oversee contract management and administration via the Contracts Manager.
- Drive operational efficiency and resource optimisation.
Risk Management
- Develop and maintain an organisation-wide operational risk management framework and register.
- Lead risk identification, mitigation planning and reporting activities.
- Promote a proactive, risk-aware culture.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Manage budget development, forecasting and planning.
- Lead the annual and mid-year budget review processes.
- Provide accurate financial reporting to the Board and Executive Team.
- Partner with program managers to support financial analysis and decision-making.
Project Oversight
- Ensure successful delivery of finance, IT, and data management projects.
- Embed project management frameworks and evaluate project impact on productivity.
Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of six, fostering a high-performing, values-aligned team culture.
- Provide strategic advice and insights to internal and external stakeholders.
- Act on behalf of the GM – Finance & Risk when required, including representing RWAV at Board and stakeholder meetings.
- Promote a strong health, safety, and wellbeing culture.
About You
You are a strategic, collaborative leader with deep experience in financial management, risk, and corporate operations. You are confident navigating a dynamic, mission-driven environment, and thrive on improving systems and guiding teams through change.
We are looking for someone with strong business partnering skills and the ability to work effectively across diverse teams who has experience managing and delivering organisational projects and driving operational improvements.
Key Selection Criteria
- Proven senior leadership experience across finance, operations, and risk management.
- Strong understanding of audit, compliance, procurement and internal control practices.
- Excellent financial planning, analysis and reporting skills.
- Experience managing high-impact projects and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to influence, lead and work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of EBA compliance, Fair Work regulations and payroll oversight.
- Familiarity with Salesforce & Definitiv desirable but not essential
