About the role

Conan civil' is seeking an experienced Directional Driller Team Leader to join our dynamic team in Carrum Downs, Victoria. As a Directional Driller Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating the activities of our directional drilling operations, ensuring efficient and successful project delivery. This full-time position offers the opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our company within the Construction industry.

What you'll be doing

Supervise and lead a team of directional drillers, providing guidance and support to ensure safe and productive operations

Develop and implement drilling plans, oversee the execution of directional drilling activities, and monitor progress to meet project deadlines and objectives

Coordinate with other team members, clients, and stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration

Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the drilling process, making quick decisions to minimise downtime and optimise efficiency

Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting on all drilling activities

Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies

Provide training and mentorship to less experienced team members, contributing to their professional development

What we're looking for

Extensive experience (5+ Years) in directional drilling operations, with a proven track record of leading and managing drilling teams

Strong technical knowledge and expertise in directional drilling techniques, equipment, and software

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make timely decisions under pressure

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, stakeholders, and team members

Proficient in reading and interpreting drilling plans, geological surveys, and other technical documents

Relevant qualifications or certifications in directional drilling or a related field

Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with safety regulations
