About the role
As a Technical Officer (TGO1), you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality, multi-disciplinary pathology services in a regional laboratory setting. Working both independently and as part of a team, you will apply your technical skills and knowledge to perform a range of standardised laboratory practices that contribute to accurate and timely diagnostic outcomes.
In this role, you will undertake duties that require hands-on expertise, including participation in technical project work that builds on your practical experience. With opportunities for development and the chance to work across varied testing areas, this position is ideal for a motivated individual seeking to contribute meaningfully to regional health services through dependable and skilled laboratory support.
About You
You are a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a recognised Diploma or Advanced Diploma and a passion for contributing to laboratory operations. You thrive in a team environment, bring strong communication and technical skills, and are committed to delivering high-quality outcomes within defined timelines.
Hold a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in an approved and recognised laboratory-related qualification.
Demonstrated ability to follow instructions, work under limited supervision, and manage confidential information professionally.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills, with sound numerical and computer proficiency.
Experience in laboratory settings with a solid understanding of scientific principles, safety standards, and team collaboration.
