About the role
We are seeking a motivated Technical Officer – Bacteriology (TGO1) to support the delivery of high-quality laboratory services within a dynamic clinical environment. In this technical role, you will apply your expertise and judgement to carry out standardised procedures and support bacteriology testing with accuracy and efficiency. Working both independently and as part of a team, you will be instrumental in ensuring reliable laboratory outcomes that contribute to timely and effective patient care.
You will engage in a variety of technical tasks, applying your practical knowledge in accordance with established protocols. The position also provides the opportunity to contribute to technical project work, enhancing your skills in a collaborative setting. About You
You are a detail-oriented and team-focused individual with a passion for laboratory science and a commitment to delivering accurate and timely results. With strong communication skills and a solid foundation in bacteriology or related medical laboratory testing, you thrive in fast-paced clinical environments.
Hold a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in a recognised laboratory science qualification.
Demonstrated competency in routine testing, with sound knowledge of laboratory principles, WHS requirements, and scientific practices.
Strong ability to prioritise tasks, follow instructions, and use initiative to solve problems independently and within a team.
Experienced in laboratory environments with excellent communication, data entry, and customer service skills.
