About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Adolescent Ward as a Clinical Nurse – Educator, where you will be responsible for:

• Providing nursing services across diverse health settings, progressing from competent to proficient practitioner.
• Supporting NUM and NE roles in delivering quality care and developing clinical education for staff.
• Accepting accountability for own practice, delegating tasks, and mentoring less experienced staff.
• Collaborating with staff, consumers, carers, and families to achieve optimal health outcomes.
• Holding a dedicated education portfolio within Paediatric Medicine while remaining predominantly clinical.
• Aligning portfolio responsibilities with individual career development plans.
• Partnering with health professionals, women, children, families, and agencies to ensure best outcomes.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
• Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience.
• Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
• Experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses.
• Effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
