Akkadian Health is an innovative private mental health clinic. We are currently looking for a full-time administration officer to join our welcoming and rapidly growing team.

Akkadian was set up to help our clients to live healthy and enjoyable lives. We achieve this by adopting new models of care and cutting edge digital health technologies. We provide psychiatry, GP, psychology and coaching services to 3000+ adult clients each year with different presentations such as anxiety, mood disorders, PTSD and ADHD.

Akkadian Health provides telehealth and face to face services. Due to our rapid business expansion, we are looking for one additional administration officer. This position would suit a on site working arrangement. We promote a flexible, transparent, and respectful working environment to our patients, staff, and partner General Practitioners.

About the job

The role of the administration officer is fast paced and varied involving:

Customer service

Liaising with mental health and primary care professionals (General Practitioners (GPs), GP Clinic Staff, Psychiatrists, Psychologists).

Providing exceptional customer/client service over the phone/email/text.

Following up with patients (scheduling appointments, appointment confirmations, sharing information and obtaining feedback).

Processing of GP referrals

Work with our clinicians to process GP referrals.

Processing payments

Process credit card payments.

Process Medicare billings.

Generating patient invoices.

About you

You have exceptional communication and organisational skills, are computer literate, a fast learner with a can-do attitude, efficient with your time management, confident, proactive, and capable of working autonomously to get things done!

Essential requirements:

Experience working in a medical centre and/or for a allied health service.

You hold or are willing to obtain a valid police check.

Desirable requirements:

Previous mental health experience.

Hold or be willing to undertake a Certificate III in Business or Business Administration.
