New office – Growing team – One-of-a-kind projects.

This isn’t just number crunching. You’ll be the one stop shop for all things finance, working alongside the director of a construction company that’s growing quickly and has just moved into a brand new South Melbourne office. The role has been created because they’ve reached the point where they need their own in-house finance lead.

You’ll manage everything – AP, AR, payroll, cash flow, WIP reporting, monthly management accounts, forecasting, budgeting, BAS, and compliance. All of it, with the backing of a hands-on leadership team and an offshore bookkeeper you can lean on when needed.

The projects? They’re high-end, one-of-a-kind builds for wealthy clients in Melbourne’s most affluent suburbs. These are unique homes, often up to $20 million, no copy-paste jobs. Every build is different, they are detailed, complex, and carefully crafted.

You’ll use Jonas Premier, KeyPay, Monday.com, and Excel to keep things tight. The director will be your day-to-day partner and is someone who values clear thinking, energy, and pace.

You will need to have worked in a construction environment for a head contractor. This is non-negotiable.

You’ll also require solid experience with Australian construction accounting, WIP reporting, GST, BAS, and payroll compliance. If you bring a strategic edge and a bit of AI knowledge, even better.

The role is based in South Melbourne, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm – it’s fast but tight. Salary is up to $120k plus super.
