About the Role
The Reddrop Group is seeking an experienced and proactive Business Systems Analyst to join our team and drive automation, data integration, and system optimisation across our national retail operations. This position works within Head Office under the Finance & IT teams, reporting into the Finance Manager & Operations Manager, IT & Systems Integrations. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in streamlining internal processes, enhancing data integrity, and delivering actionable insights to stakeholders across multiple departments and systems.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the processing and transformation of data from multiple business systems and integrating data between them.
Designing relevant dashboards where requested and data tables to simplify information to be shared with Senior Management and the wider business.
Identifying, investigating, and analysing business processes, procedures and work practices and working with users to formally automate business processes, procedures.
Assisting internal business processes for analysing commercial data from multiple business systems such as budgets, sales results and forecasts.
Providing guidance and recommendations to the business for business system process improvements and identifying opportunities for changes to any observed inefficiencies.
Responsible for managing engagement between the business and key software and application partners required to maintain data, reporting and analytical requirements of the business.
Responsible for using project management methodologies, principles and techniques to develop business system project plans analysing cost-benefit and project administration.
Responsible for designing, testing and managing robotic process automation (RPA) opportunities within the business to address current manual processes for data inputs into business systems.
Developing solutions using SQL & Python coding where data extraction from business systems requires development of functional specifications for use in building dashboards or databases.
Dissect business questions into actionable level and categorise analytics method into 4 types of analysis: descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analysis.
Designing and executing analytical experiments to help solve problems across various domains and industries.
Developing data models and algorithms to address business challenges and integrate implementation into existing system software.
Skills & Experience Required
Minimum 7+ years of experience in a business systems analyst, data analyst, data engineering, or similar role.
Proven experience in Python, SQL, Excel macros, and dashboard development.
Familiarity with ERP and POS systems such as Sage 300, Tanda, MicrOPay, SureFire, Lightyear, and Zap BI.
Demonstrated experience using RPA tools such as UiPath or Power Automate to automate repetitive business processes.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills across both technical and non-technical teams.
Experience in managing multiple concurrent projects, data quality checks, and commercial reporting.
Knowledge of business process mapping, data modelling, and automation project lifecycle.
Desirable Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
Experience in the retail or FMCG industry is advantageous.
Understanding of machine learning concepts and predictive analytics is highly regarded.
