Shape the Future by Restoring the Past – Lead the Legacy Mines Program

  • Full time ongoing role available
  • Location: Maitland preferred, however other DPIRD office locations will also be considered
  • Salary from $145K pa to $168K pa plus super

The Legacy Mines Program is a bold NSW Government initiative, driven by NSW Resources, that delivers and manages the rehabilitation or remediation of legacy mine sites.

As Manager, Legacy Mines Program, you won’t just oversee projects—you’ll lead a passionate team on a mission to:

  • Reduce risks to public health and safety;
  • reduce any impacts to the environment;
  • stabilise and prevent further degradation of legacy mine sites; and
  • remove or contain contamination at its source and prevent it from spreading.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing the development, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of a complex portfolio of legacy mine projects.
  • Developing and implementing strategies and tools for the continuous monitoring and evaluation of projects, including risk and contingency management, benefits realisation, and project impact and quality measures
  • Providing expert advice and information to stakeholders and Executive on emerging project issues and presenting recommendations to support project delivery to ensure timely and budget-conscious outcomes while maintaining the highest quality standards.
  • Collaborating with a diverse team of experts, stakeholders and delivery partners, fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment.
