A position exists within our company to assist with the supply sale of car care, consumable, detailing and cleaning products into automotive dealerships. Based in Sydney, this position will involve travel nationally. Ability to consistently and legally travel to these areas as required is essential.
General Summary: Achieves maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration by effectively selling the company’s products and/or related services. Ability to train, coach, mentor and monitor dealership staff to attain above industry standards in sales and performance.
Primary Objective:
To provide the best possible service to partners and customers whilst achieving maximum profitability and growth of automotive products and services in line with company vision and values. Maximise sales opportunities with existing clients and grow our market share nationally.
Sales & Account Management
· Actively seek new business.
· Create and manage a customer value plan for existing customers highlighting profile, share and value opportunities.
· Ensure profitability of the designated products and services through the sale of our approved aftermarket products and car cleaning products.
· Negotiate sales of car care products and car cleaning products within given guidelines.
· Record and maintain sales and tracking system to ensure accurate weekly and monthly reporting.
· Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.
· Conduct regular and frequent customer visitations and follow up as set by management.
· Ensure sales targets and budgets are met as set by the Managing Director.
Training and Coaching
· Produce, Implement and continually update company-training manual (hard & soft copy).
· Conduct ongoing and frequent training sessions and visitations both within Dealerships and organised group events.
· Develop individual needs analysis and training plans for individual automotive groups, dealerships and consultants.
· Monitor and report monthly on all customer training requirements and progress.
Chemical Systems Management
· Monitor and report monthly on all customer training requirements and progress.
· Regular site visits to automotive dealership customers
· Review and report on the detailing products and processes in use at each site
Install detailing products suitable for dealership use, supplied by Dealers Own Implement detailing processes to maximise efficiency of supplied detailing products.
· Implement detailing processes to maximise efficiency of supplied detailing products.
· Conduct OH&S, chemical and detailing training for site staff
Complete audit reports, install reports, training reports, cold call and site visitation reports for submission to Dealers Own management and customers as required.
· Liaise with customers to ensure ongoing compliance and supply.
· Provision of product technical and performance information to customers

· Conduct “Cold calls” at prospective customers.
· Monitor and report monthly on all customer requirements and cold call conquest progress.

· Establish monthly action plans and work with management to achieve set goals.
Customer Satisfaction
· Be devoted to guaranteeing satisfaction of customers by providing a high level of customer service.
· Undertake duties in a manner that is professional, courteous and honest and in accordance with the Motor Dealers Code of Conduct and company policies.
· Ensure customer complaints are handled promptly in liaison with the Managing Director.
· Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
· Build a loyal clientele by following customer service standards.
General
· Establish monthly action plans and work with the Managing Director to achieve set goals.
· Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
· Remain informed of all new product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends.
· Ensure all car care promotional material and dealership displays are up to date, presented professionally and are in accordance with agreed programs.
· Provide weekly and monthly reports to the Managing Director showing prospective / closing and sales figures in relation to targets and budget.
· Participate in trade shows and conventions as instructed by management.
· Attend training as directed by the Managing Director to constantly enhance skills and product knowledge and ensure adherence to training practices.
· Ensure compliance with relevant company policies, procedures and requirements, and in general take any reasonable steps and precautions to protect or minimise harm to the workplace, the environment and our employees.
Other duties as required.
The successful applicant will be self-driven, reliable and accountable.
The position will be in a permanent full time capacity, after initial trial period of three months. Remuneration will involve a base package to service existing customers, and commission structure payable on sales to new conquest business.
A vehicle allowance will be provided for local travel. A mobile phone and laptop will be provided for business purposes.
