As Victoria's community grows so does Fire Rescue Victoria. Due to internal promotion available is this busy and rewarding role as the Supervisor Workshop, where you will also develop and lead the future teams as Apprentice Co-ordinator in FRV's Thornbury workshop.

As FRV’s new Workshop Supervisor will be running our busy workshop, your foremost objective and key focus will be to oversee a team of skilled and diverse trades and service personnel.

Your administrative skills will be in play when you are dealing with and handling POs, invoices and general workshop documentation ensuring collation to ensure accurate audit trails and compliance standards.

Perhaps trades trained and qualified, your time on the tools has seen you want to move on and further develop a career in a supervisory capacity. You are well organised, service oriented and good with managing the needs of the workshop, its daily tasks, external associates in parts, goods and service providers and FRV's teams also.

Your professional maturity and expertise see you lead by example , are calm and effective under pressure and you enjoy working with a busy and diversely skilled workforce.

About You

Having experience working in similarly workshops and businesses such as heavy or light industrial businesses you may have started on the tools and worked your way through to Team Leader or Supervisor and are now ready to embrace the next stage of your career.

To be considered for this position, your credentials should include:

Trade qualified (min Cert III) in a relevant discipline.

Diploma of Engineering (mechanical) or equivalent.

Competent in the use of equipment maintenance software and Microsoft Office Applications.
