As part of Acacia’s executive leadership team, the Field Operations Manager leads the daily operations of our field-based teams in alignment with our strategic vision, cultural values, legislative obligations, financial sustainability and client contract requirements. The role is responsible for translating organisational strategy into actionable operational plans, ensuring effective implementation through effective leadership, capable teams, budget management and safe and efficient systems and processes. In addition, the Field Operations Manager plays a key role in fostering an inclusive, values-based culture and psychologically safe environment, and building strong relationships across teams, clients, and stakeholders, while driving operational performance, continuous improvement and commercial outcomes.
This is a full-time role, reporting to the CEO/Managing Director and based predominantly at our head office in St Andrews, with the opportunity to work flexibly in co-working spaces across Melbourne. The Field Operations Manager has 5-7 direct reports overseeing a team of approximately 155 people across our clients’ sites in greater Melbourne and into regional Victoria.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will be a proven senior leader with extensive experience in leading large, geographically dispersed and/or diverse teams to achieve operational outcomes. You thrive in working in a fast-paced environment with an operational workload, where safety, compliance, financial sustainability and continuous improvement are key priorities.
With a proven ability to coach and mentor to support and develop others, you will be responsible for providing operational and people leadership for the delivery of field-based service delivery programs to achieve high-quality, financially, commercially sustainable and safe services.
With significant communication, influencing and stakeholder relationship skills, you can translate strategic objectives into operational priorities, ensuring alignment of service delivery with organisational direction, client needs, and long-term organisational goals via effective operational plans and change management.
You have a proven track record in delivering operational innovation, using data and performance metrics to drive sustainable, evidence-based commercial and financial decisions, managing employee relations risks, and managing people fairly and respectfully across the employee life cycle.
As an experienced and highly regarded leader with superior self-awareness, people leadership and applied emotional intelligence, you are adept at coaching and modelling effective self-leadership through collaboration, a growth mindset, curiosity, safe behaviours and personal accountability in upholding organisational standards, values and performance outcomes.
