A small community of Empowered individuals in a beautiful brand new lifestyle community in the heart of Toowoomba, and for our participants joining our ELC family.

Empowered Living Choices was created to help fill the gaps within the NDIS. Focusing on exceptional care with highly trained staff, who are compassionate and caring. We ensure staff are well supported, which in turn achieves great client satisfaction. All in a fun, safe and supported environment. As a Disability Support Worker, you play an essential role in supporting individuals with disabilities to achieve their goals to live a life inspired. You will work closely with participants, families, and management to create a safe and empowering environment that fosters autonomy, inclusion, and respect for each individual's unique abilities. Qualifications & experience

Relevant qualification in Disability Support or related field. Experience working with people with disabilities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Problem-solving and decision-making skills. Current First Aid Certificate, Working with Children Check, and National Police Check. Strong English in reading and writing skills

Must be reliable, trust worthy and able to work as a team

Must have a good attitude with a ethics and values

Must have experience with behaviours and following PBSP plans

Must have good availability

Must LOVE working within the disability space

Tasks & responsibilities

Offer personalised support in daily living tasks and personal care. Assist participants in accessing community activities and events. Document progress and report any concerns or updates. Adhere to organisational policies and industry standards

Create a fun and empowering day for participants to thrive and live a life inspired

Pay will be dependent on certification and skill level and are as per the SCHADS award.
