Disability Support Workers

We are seeking casual support workers for existing teams who provide 24-hour support for participants living in the Ashgrove, Yeronga and Corinda areas.

Hours include weekday days, non awake overnights and weekends.

Aura Lifestyle Services PTY LTD (Aura) is seeking casual support workers for participants living in the above listed suburbs.

The Role

These roles will work in close partnership with the participants and their families/informal support networks and existing Team Leaders and support teams. Working across a couple of teams in close geographical locations maybe required.

A Team Leader exists in each team and will provide support, mentoring and supervision for each team member.

You will be supported with training, mentoring and direct contact with family and our leadership team through this process.

You will have ‘can do’ attitude and pride yourself on being calm and kind, work in a planned and proactive way – and have a natural ability to build rapport and relationships with participants, their families and other team members.

Your communication is mature, kind and fair. You understand how to deliver information whilst respecting family values, relationships, and decisions. Promoting a culture of integrity, respect and confidentiality. You will have an innate sensitivity to the needs, goals, and vision, of participants whilst being empathetic to participants challenges and their desire for a rich and meaningful life.

Aura also offers support workers access to Salary Sacrifice up to $15,900 per year for Casuals, Part-Time and Full-Time and confidential access to an Employee Assistance Program (for work related and personal related matters).

The positions are casual Level 2.1 of Home Care Award; however, Aura pays above Award rates.
