We are seeking experienced and compassionate Female Disability Support Workers within the Toowoomba region to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be part of a team of dedicated Disability Support Workers delivering person-centred services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Support complex participants in their daily living activities and assist with tasks such as food preparation, eating, dressing, maintaining personal hygiene, and general household chores.
Implement individualised support plans, including positive behaviour support plans, to meet clients' needs and goals.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards, including NDIS Quality and Safeguards.
Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and training sessions.
Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, and external stakeholders.
Monitor and report on service delivery outcomes, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Address and resolve any incidents or issues that may arise in service delivery.
About You:
Minimum of 2 years' experience in the disability sector, specifically supporting people with complex needs
Strong knowledge of the NDIS and the disability support framework.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team in a collaborative environment.
Compassionate, client-focused approach with a commitment to enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities.
Ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Experience working with participants who have complex disabilities and behaviours, including verbal & physical escalations.
Certificate III in Disability, Community Services, or related field (or working towards).
MAPA or CPI Training (highly regarded).
Current First Aid and CPR certification.
NDIS Worker Screening Check & Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
Valid Australian Driver's License & comprehensive insurance certificate.
Valid Australian Driver's License and own reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
Current manual handling certification or willingness to obtain
