Business Development Manager - Commercial Fit-out - $150k + Super + $10k car allowance + $5-10k incentives

Our client is an unparalleled Commercial fit-out contractor, specialising in retail, commercial, medical, hospitality and leisure sectors across mainly fitout and new build projects with an emphasis on commercial fitout.

With a net worth of $12m, they are a national Design and Construct business that bring brands and spaces to fruition. This is an amazing opportunity to work in a National business essentially from the ground up.

Our client has offices Nationwide and combines planning, design, manufacturing, project management and construction to deliver end to end solutions. With over 150 staff Nationally, our client offers a unique working environment and has an ambitious appetite for growth in WA.

Their projects, ranging from $300k to $15m, are mainly Refurbishments and fit-outs, however they also do some new build too. The sectors they work across are Wellness and Gyms, Hotels, Hospitality, Retail and a small amount of office fitout.

They are now looking to engage a highly motivated BDM to develop and maintain key new and existing client relationships within a national portfolio of sites.

You will work closely with the WA team to embed their customer focus through excellent client support and processes, as well as support their WA team in continuing to build a strong pipeline of work.

Key responsibilities:

  • Management of assigned key client partnerships from end to end
  • Follow up with any projects when feedback hasn’t been supplied
  • Qualifying inbound leads through HubSpot and assigning owners
  • Create tender documentation and capability statements for your location
  • Provide support to the WA team and actively grow your pipeline to achieve regular targets.
  • Ensure a positive work ethic and team culture.
  • Design and develop a growth strategy focused on both financial gain and customer satisfaction.
  • Regularly research and keep up with current market trends and identify new opportunities to engage prospects and generate new business.
  • Promote the company’s services whilst addressing and forecasting the clients’ objectives.
  • Create development plans and forecast sales targets and growth projections.
  • Attend industry conferences, meetings and events.

Key requirements:

  • Have in depth knowledge of services and value propositions.
  • The ability to generate cooperation and overcome any barriers of information sharing, communication and collaboration.
  • Reflect on your own performance and behaviour and actively seek feedback to inform your own learning and development needs are being met.
  • Be one step ahead of potential roadblocks and successfully troubleshoot and manage issues if and when they arise.
  • Solid stakeholder management experience ranging from internal team members, leadership, partner brands, trades, project site teams and the client.
  • Embody the highest standard of ethical behaviour and align and monitor business processes accordingly and ensure others adherence.
  • Previous Experience in the Construction Industry is preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent attention to detail whilst working efficiently in order to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships at all levels.

Whist we would like to speak with any BDM’s in the Construction market we are also opening this role up to individuals in a completely different market who have a genuine interest in Construction or who have been in the Construction market possibly in a more technical role and are looking to transition to a Business Development position.

This is not a highly sales driven environment rather it is centred around building genuine, authentic and long term relationships with Engineers, Architects, Client side Project Managers and Clients directly.
