Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
• Conduct variance analysis and deliver meaningful commentary to operational stakeholders.
• Lead the budgeting process and manage periodic forecasts across departments.
• Monitor capital and operational expenditures to ensure alignment with budgets.
• Support operational teams by providing accurate and timely financial data for decision-making.
• Develop and maintain financial models and business performance reports.
• Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit activities.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive financial reporting efficiencies.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA or CA qualification
• At least 3–5 years’ experience in a management accounting or commercial finance role, ideally in mining or heavy industry
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
• Proficiency with ERP systems (such as Pronto or SAP) and advanced Excel skills
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
