ARABIC-SPEAKING FEMALE SUPPORT WORKER NEEDED – IMMEDIATE START
Location: Belmore, NSW (Sydney Area)
Shifts: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
We are urgently seeking a compassionate, Arabic-speaking OR understanding of some level female support worker to assist a 34-year-old woman with Down syndrome. This rewarding role involves personal care, daily routines, and fun community/social activities.
About the Client:
Personality: The client is very high functioning, sweet, bubbly, and happy. She has an easy-going and soft personality and no behavioral issues. She enjoys being around others, especially those who can match her positive energy. She loves movies, TV shows, humor, and singing, making her a fun and engaging individual to work with.
Medical Info: The client has heart-related health needs and dietary restrictions. All food must be Halal and certain medications and materials must be avoided (details provided upon onboarding).
Key Responsibilities:
Support with personal care (showering, grooming, dressing).
Help with daily routines (hygiene, brushing teeth, etc.).
Attend social and community outings with the client.
Provide companionship and emotional support.
Follow simple medical and dietary guidelines.
Communicate clearly with the client and family.
About You:
Female support worker.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities, particularly Down syndrome, is highly desirable.
A fun, energetic, and patient personality with the ability to engage in social activities and share her sense of humor and love for life.
Ability to follow medical and dietary requirements to ensure her safety and well-being.
Current first aid and CPR certifications.
Certificate 3 or equivalent in individual support.
MUST HAVE EVERYTHING NDIS SUPPORT WORKER REQUIRES
