As part of their continued expansion, we are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their Brisbane Head Office. This is a fantastic opportunity to become an integral part of a forward-thinking company that values talent, teamwork, and long-term development.

Key Responsibilities:

Offer technical guidance throughout the detailed engineering phase of solar and energy storage projects to ensure alignment with project goals, client expectations, and applicable regulations.

Oversee the safe incorporation of electrical systems into final designs, prioritizing safety, technical integrity, quality, and cost-effective scheduling.

Take charge of the technical evaluation and approval of all electrical design documents related to solar PV and energy storage systems.

Validate in-house documentation to confirm compliance with industry codes and regulatory standards.

Examine and assess technical materials such as specifications, drawings, and manuals received from vendors or external parties.

Contribute to the assessment of technical proposals and promote continuous enhancements to the company’s solar and BESS solutions.

Deliver engineering support across all phases of BESS and solar PV projects, collaborating closely with internal teams involved in development, procurement, execution, and operations.

Ensure that all designs meet requirements for safety, environmental compliance, construction, commissioning, and operational efficiency.

Assist in the design and development of project electrical systems, including DC, low-voltage (LV), medium-voltage (MV), and interfaces with high-voltage (HV) systems and grid interconnection.

Support and advocate for technical solutions that meet regulatory, safety, and certification requirements.

Engage in effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, internal teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and consultants.

Actively identify potential project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them and ensure timely, successful project execution..

About You:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Electronics Engineering (or equivalent).

5+ years of Electrical engineering experience in the Renewables sector, with at least 1 years in a Senior role.

Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems design for onshore/offshore facilities.

Experience with engineering tools like ETAP, SmartPlant, or similar.
