About the Role

As a Senior Electrical Engineer at PECE in building services, you’ll be an integral part of our forward thinking electrical services team. Your responsibilities will range from providing innovative design solutions to managing full project lifecycles, ensuring our clients receive high-quality, sustainable, and efficient electrical designs.

You will be actively involved in mentoring junior engineers, liaising with clients, managing multidisciplinary teams, and staying ahead of industry trends.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate and detailed electrical (power, lighting), telecommunications, and security design solutions.

Lead and manage design projects from concept to completion, including consultation with the design team and stakeholders.

Oversee the preparation of contract documentation for tendering and construction purposes.

Attend site inspections to assess existing services and review construction progress.

Liaise with equipment suppliers and manufacturers.

Research new products, standards, and design practices to keep the company ahead of the curve in building services technology.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Senior Electrical Engineer who thrives in a collaborative, solution-focused environment. You’ll bring a balance of technical expertise, leadership capability, and a proactive mindset.

Skills and Experience:

A degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) from a tertiary institution recognised in Australia.

Previous experience in an engineering consultancy or relevant contracting company, specialising in building services in the Australian market.

RPEQ qualified (or working towards RPEQ); certification in other states is a bonus.

Strong understanding of the BCA (Building Code of Australia) and Australian Standards.

Proven experience or keen interest in managing multidisciplinary projects.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with clients, suppliers, and team members.

Proactive and adaptable—comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.

A valid C-class driver’s license.
