Plants Direct Queensland is based on the Sunshine Coast near Eumundi and is a long established and industry leading wholesale production nursery. Covering 40 acres, the nursery produces quality tubestock through to advanced trees for the revegetation, retail and landscape markets.

We are currently recruiting for the following positions:

EXPERIENCED NURSERY PERSON to lead our Plant Health and Maintenance Team. This role involves the supervison of a team of 5, reporting to the Nursery Production Manager. General duties include, pruning, staking, potting up, fertilizing, weeding and grading plants; loading and unloading of plants. Picking, preparing and labelling plants for chain-store dispatch. Prior nursery experience in a similar role is required. Horticulture qualifications, chemical certification, skid or forklift and a manual licence etc. are also advantageous.

EXPERIENCED NURSERY HAND General duties include, pruning, staking, potting up, fertilizing, weeding and grading plants; loading and unloading of plants. Picking, preparing and labelling plants for chain-store dispatch.

The positions are casual - Mon-Fri approx. up to 38 hrs per week (flexible working hours are available) . The opportunity for advancement exists within our organisation. Further horticultural training and fulltime positions are also potentially available. You must have a genuine passion for plants and the horticulture industry and prepared to work in all weather conditions, doing manual and repetitive work.
