About the Role
Reporting directly to the CEO, this newly created Finance Manager position offers a rare opportunity to help shape the financial foundation of the business from the ground up. This is more than just a finance role, it's a hands-on commercial leadership position where you'll play a central role in operations, growth and strategic decision-making.
You'll take ownership of everything from financial reporting and budgeting to business partnering and funding compliance. Power BI will be a key tool in your kit, helping to turn data into insights and insights into action.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and building the finance function from scratch
- Leading financial and management reporting, including Power BI dashboards
- Partnering with the CEO on strategy, forecasting and investment decisions
- Owning budgeting, forecasting, compliance and risk management
- Navigating government grants and funding requirements
- Managing a finance officer and building a high-performance culture
- Working closely with internal stakeholders across the business
- Driving process improvements, automation and scalable systems
About You
You're a finance leader with a sharp eye for detail and a strong commercial mindset. You enjoy building systems, not just maintaining them, and you know how to balance big-picture strategy with on-the-ground execution.
You'll be a great fit if you have:
- Proven experience in financial and management accounting
- Strong skills in Power BI and financial reporting tools
- High attention to detail and a solutions-oriented approach
- Knowledge of government grants and funding compliance
- CA/CPA qualification (or close to completion)
- The ability to work autonomously and influence senior stakeholders
- Experience managing or mentoring junior finance staff
- A proactive, hands-on attitude with a drive to make an impact
