About the role

My First Aid Course is seeking a dedicated Fire Safety Trainer to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering interactive and engaging fire safety training programs to a diverse range of clients in the greater Brisbane area. As a subject matter expert, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our clients' employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills to respond effectively in the event of a fire emergency. Please note, My First Aid Course is not currently advertising Fire courses, once we have 1-2 trainers on the books we will begin marketing to our clients and can expect to find work quite quickly as we have a large client base.

What you'll be doing

Designing and delivering comprehensive fire safety training programs to clients

Conducting practical, hands-on training sessions on the use of fire extinguishers and other firefighting equipment

Providing guidance on fire safety procedures and emergency evacuation plans

Staying up-to-date with the latest fire safety regulations and best practices

Tailoring training content to meet the specific needs and requirements of each client

Maintaining detailed training records and providing progress reports

Collaborating with the training team to continuously improve the quality of our fire safety programs

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years' experience in fire safety training or a related field

Thorough knowledge of fire safety regulations, equipment, and emergency procedures

Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and educate diverse audiences

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Recognised fire safety training qualifications or certifications

Flexibility to travel to client sites within the Brisbane metropolitan area

Own Equipment preferred
