The Mackay Hospital Expansion Project at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Senior Advisor (Work Health & Safety) to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your opportunity
The Mackay Hospital Expansion Project is seeking a new team member that is passionate about delivering on the vision for Mackay Hospital and Health Service (MHHS) to provide quality healthcare to the Mackay region. The new facility will increase the capacity of the Mackay Base Hospital by 128 beds, relocating Maternity, Birth Suites, Neonatal and Paediatric wards and adding new medical wards to service the growing demand.
You will join a high-performing team that is looking to partner with Queensland Health and contractors to build this new facility and undertake the operational commissioning of the Mackay Hospital Expansion Project and associated hospital projects. The skills you bring will enable the successful navigation of Workplace Health and Safety issues in a project environment and promote a safety-first culture.
About the Team
The Mackay Hospital Expansion Project (MHEP) will deliver the expansion of Mackay Base Hospital, with an additional 128 beds for the community. The expansion project aims to improve the patient experience and provide quality healthcare outcomes for the Mackay region.

Mackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff. The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
